Life, work, finances, and my every day ramblings.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle
Great things only happen through hardship and pain. Think of the bicycle gold medalist, every single day of training without ever skipping.
I’m done drinking
Too much to lose for drinking. If you can quit smoking you can do the same for drinking. Expect the urges on friday and saturday.
6 months goal for December 31st 2007: CFA, golf, be fit, get the sites rolling, be in habit to be productive (it’s descipline)
From what I have seen today, the difference between success and failure even when all are odds are against you like competiting with much better off background people is how much you want it. Stop being scared, ashamed, emabarassed etc. When you want it enough all these things disappear and clearly the strong ones survive.
Look at brother and you will see this kind of confidence inside him. Be proud of what you have and where you currently are. Can only be achieved when you look at yourself in the mirror and accept where you are today.
Quit smoking for 5 weeks now.
Stopped drinking for 1 week.
More to write tomorrow. I’m really really sleepy, and back on track! Wait for my positive review.
You need to work much harder. Split your time accordingly.
Went out to enjoy the sun. What a beautiful day. Stay happy and stay focused! So much better than staying at home, so much better than going drinking at night. Be productive, when you look back you’ll feel that you’re actually doing something with your life.
You are about to go broke!
Stop fucking around, get your act straighten up. You’re not like them, you have your own path to take.
Few notes to myself:
-Be more specific in terms of your state of mind when writing your weblog
-Be brutally honest with yourself. Lying about yourself just makes things worse, and you are not living your own situation. Kidding yourself is an easy way to escape. Face yourself, stand up and start walking!
-Find inner peace, think what your bro would do
-Be confident of your current situation that is the ultimate confidence and aura of success. Even if your situation sucks, admitting it takes a great deal of courage. Think like your bro.
Feels great to work at pcc. do it more often.
You are really becoming useless as you don’t change. But who says change is easy.
resist drinking 3 times. So today count is 0!
Just quit drinking!
you can fight the urge just like smoking
Hunger is like cig withdrawal, it’s just a matter of your mind. About 5 urges a day to eat.
I can’t get the AMZN trade off my mind. Feeling so depressed. lost 60% of my portfolio on that trade… sigh.
I hope this is over soon, so my life can be back on track.
Remember failure is not losing, but not being able to get back up.
Hey Kerry! You guys can do so much better. Once in your lifetime, enjoy and make most of your days ok?!
